Product Updates - December 2022

We finished 2022 with a bang! And the December 2022 updates are just a reflection of it. This month, we had a few minor updates and a mega update that we can’t wait to share with you all. So, without further ado, let’s begin.

Connecting Action Blocks Made Easier

Earlier, connecting two action blocks on WotNot was as difficult as threading a needle.

You had to connect the two nodes with extreme precision. And this became quite a task when your flow became too complex.

To make this easier, we came up with our latest update that made connecting two action blocks way simpler. Here, you just have to hover the connecting link to any part of the action block, and it will start glowing.

Once you see the glowing effect, you can leave the mouse pointer and the link will be connected automatically.

Limit Future Bookings on Google Calendar

With this latest update, you can define how many future days you want to show on the Google Calendar UI for appointment booking.

You can choose either calendar days that include weekends or business days that exclude weekends.

Skip Contact Form If Data is Available

With each update, our bots are becoming smarter and this update is a perfect example of it. Earlier, in the Google Calendar action block there was a form which asked for information like name and date, even if you had asked the same questions before.

With this latest update, you can tick mark the “Skip form if data is present” option and ensure that you’re not asking for those details again through the form.

For example, if you have already asked for the name and the date of the appointment in the conversation above, then the form will be skipped since that information has already been captured.

Another additional advantage of this update is that it helps you to make your chatflow more conversational. This is because you can ask for details in a conversational manner rather than asking through a boring form.

Slack for Live Chat

Why use a live chat tool when you already have Slack! This is exactly the philosophy of our next major update — Slack for Live Chat. Get used to this phrase as you’ll see and hear a lot about this in 2023.

So how this works is, it hands over chats to your Slack. And then through Slack threads, your agents can respond and continue the conversation.

Yes, it is as simple and amazing as it sounds.

Not only this, you can also define assignment rules for automatic handover of chats in case an agent is not available to reply back to the visitor.

Our ‘Slack for Live Chat’ integration update has the potential to transform how businesses manage their live chats, as it enables them to:

• Manage live chats within Slack

• Eliminate training that would otherwise go in case of some other live chat tool

• Increase response time to chats significantly

• Make chats easier and more fun for salespersons

Slack Notifications

Another major update is the Slack notifications action block.

With this, you can send notifications to any desired channel on Slack. These notifications help you to proactively join the live chat.

These notifications are useful for account based marketing or to manage high-profile leads which you would like to talk about personally rather than using a bot.

Here is an example where the bot notified on Slack when a person from the US viewed our pricing page, and Hardik immediately jumped into a conversation with them.
